• Foreigners Marriage and Proxies

Foreigners often suffer in Egypt while they are trying to finalize the procedures relating to marry an Egyptian male or female or executing a power of attorney of any kind at a Real Estate office.

Both of those procedures are completed before the Real Estate employee through many procedures which can not be usually understood by the non-specialist who is unable to complete it himself.

A summary of the conditions and documents required for foreigners marriage:

1. The husband and wife shall attend in person or upon a special power of attorney.
2. Age difference shall not exceed 25 years of age.
3. The Egyptian party shall hold a national ID card.
4. A customary marriage contract (if any).
5. A Family Post Box Stamp of 50 pounds.
6. Medical examination certificates for both parties (of any government health office).
7. A valid passport with the Immigration Department review of the existing proof of residence.
8. NOC from the foreign embassy of the country in Arabic see upon which the competent authority certifies that Miss / Mrs ..... Religion ..... And nationality. And has not been married and is now divorcee and has / does not have children and there is no obstacle to his /her marriage, and authenticate the origin and true translation of the embassy and the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
9. Two witnesses of more than 21 years of age.
10. A certified translator.
11. Certificate of recruitment if the party Egyptian is male.
12. 5 photos of each party.

Note:

In case of documenting foreigners' marriage in Alexandria you, can receive documentation on the same day of the marriage contract. In the case of documentation in the Ministry of Justice in Cairo, the marriage contract will be received within two weeks.
